Lee's Expertise

Lee Gassaway is an Arizona native and a full time fishing guide. He has been fishing on Roosevelt Lake and the surrounding waters since 1959, and has been a full time fishing guide since 1983. Lee lives at Roosevelt and fishes 175 to 190 days a year, which enables him to keep abreast of what the fish are doing most of the time.

What Lee wants you to know...
As a guide, I believe that it is my primary obligation to show you where and how to catch fish, and not just show you how many fish I can catch! I guide for both bass and crappie. Roosevelt Lake has an abundance of Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass. It is also rated nationally in the top ten Crappie lakes, and is known for its large crappie. Many are caught that weight over 2 lbs. and a few that weight 3 lbs. plus.

All that you must bring is food, drink, fishing license, and an ice chest to carry your fish home in. I furnish all tackle, bait, safety equipment, everything that you will need for successful trip! I am insured, and licensed with the U.S. forest Service and the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Daytime fishing starts in mid September and runs until mid May. At that time, due to the summer heat, we start night fishing. Night time fishing is mid May until mid September.
